Moving an academy account to a personal one

A student account issued by an academy can be moved to a personal account using your own email, and all reading records stay with the account.

However, the academy (your teacher) has to release the student account first, which usually sends the parent an email with a claim link to complete the switch. A parent can't convert an active academy account on their own.

Once switched, the account is no longer linked to the academy, so its courses and assignments are no longer available. If you're changing academies or graduating, ask the teacher to start the release.
